RM of Poplar Valley’s story
The Rural Municipality of Poplar Valley No. 12 sits in southern Saskatchewan, right on the United States border, where it neighbours Daniels County in Montana. It incorporated as a rural municipality on January 1, 1913.
Within its boundaries lies the town of Rockglen, along with the locality of Fife Lake. Rockin Beach Park, a regional park, is also found in the municipality.
Transportation has long mattered to the area. The RM is a part owner of the Fife Lake Railway, and it is served by Highway 2, Highway 18 and the Rockglen Airport.
